    ASUS Commando Review

Posted on Wednesday, January 31 2007 @ 19:25:00 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

Crosshair, Strike Extreme and now Commando- these are all names from ASUS' Republic of Gamers lineup of motherboards that re targeted towards the extreme gamer. The Commando board that we're looking at today is based on the Intel 965 chipset and everything about it is downright impressive. Nicely packaged in a black/grey box, the Commando is sure to get noticed on store shelves. The top flips open to reveal some of the features like eight phase power and onboard switches while cut-outs reveal the bundled sound card and LCD on the back panel. Inside this box, the mainboard is secured in a hard plastic shell while the "Accessory box" holds all the cables, media and manuals.
