Posted on Tuesday, August 10 2004 @ 02:35:56 CEST by LSDsmurf

On “12/10/93” ID Software, directed by a young John Carmack, released the first demo of a game that was destined to set a new standard in “First Person Shooter” (FPS). It's release sent shockwaves accross the gaming industry. That game was Doom, and the rest, as they say, is gaming history. Today, more than 10 years later, ID are on the eve of releasing one of the most anticipated games ever - Doom 3. A re-telling of the original game, its taken 4 years to be created and developed. We've taken the time to review the game, and are proud bring you a great insight, exclusive to Neowin.
