OCZ XStream Power Supply Series Review

Posted on Wednesday, June 20 2007 @ 13:14:20 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Today we have compared the OCZ Xstream power supply range side by side. The GameXStream 700w and 1010w units have been tested along with the ModXStream 780w, ProXStream 1000w and StrealthXStream 600w. Using a combination of the latest and most demanding gaming hardware, we have put these OCZ power supplies to the test to determine which one is right for you.

The OCZ XStream power supply series as we see, really caters for almost everyone. From those building quality mid-range gaming computers, to those chasing the most extreme overclocks with insane hardware configurations, and of course everyone in between. Although our testing method might not be the most sound, it is difficult to fully test these power supplies given the cost of the professional equipment required. Nevertheless, while we may not have placed the GameXStream 1010w or the ProXStream 1000w under full-load, we did throw just about all the hardware we have at our disposal at it!
