    ECS P35T-A motherboard Review

Posted on Monday, June 25 2007 @ 15:04:58 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Today we have a review on what should be a very affordable Intel P35 motherboard from ECS. The P35T-A is based on the P35 chipset, offering up to twelve USB 2.0 ports, six SATA ports and a number of other useful features. Unlike the other recently reviewed motherboards based on the P35 chipset, this particular model will not be priced at $200 US plus. Rather this motherboard should cost half as much as those recently reviewed by ASUS and Gigabyte...

Performance wise the P35T-A was good and we found no compatibility or stability issues while testing. The audio and network solutions worked flawlessly, while the single eSATA port was a nice touch. The layout and design of the P35T-A was also good, though there is certainly room for improvement. The ECS P35T-A is obviously not a motherboard for gamers or enthusiasts, but rather a product for general users. Those that wish to build a powerful and reliable system without spending serious money, will be interested in what the P35T-A has to offer.
