Antec MX-1 Actively Cooled Hard Drive Enclosure Review

Posted on Wednesday, August 01 2007 @ 11:01:32 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Antec's HDD enclosure features both USB 2.0 and eSATA interfaces. It also provides active cooling for today's latest drives.

"The Antec MX-1 is easily the best hard drive enclosure we've worked with. It's well built, easy to assemble and a snap to use. It's also quiet. The cooling fan is barely audible, and completely unnoticeable in with our PC on, which is also rather quiet. It is rather large, but this does add some peace of mind in that it is going to be able to withstand a bit of abuse. There also isn't much in the way of bling, but we think it looks just fine."
