Corsair PC2 5400 Pro DDR2 and the sky Review

Posted on Friday, September 24 2004 @ 16:33:16 CEST by LSDsmurf

The Overclocker Cafe' looks to have found some memory truly made to handle the rodeo burger. They take Corsair's PC2 5400 Pro DDR2 memory out for a run and bang 689MHz on it. Even then, they question if the memory or if another component tapped out first. Here's a snip of their post. As you can see, with the memory running at this speed, the benchmark results pretty much blow all the comparison results away. Even though our overclock was well over the rating of this memory, I personally believe the true ceiling for the memory is much higher. Neither our CPU or the memory failed. Anything above 258MHz on the FSB would POST, but the HDD would not be recognized. If this is something you feel your readers would enjoy, a news posting would be welcomed. Thanks.
