    Akasa Nero - 1366 Review

Posted on Friday, January 23 2009 @ 14:08:08 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

There are several companies now issuing Socket 1366 brackets that will allow current coolers to be used on the new Core i7 processors, but with a 40% larger surface area on the new chips, these behemoths output an enormous amount of heat, and we're not entirely convinced the old coolers will be sufficient. Today we're testing the Akasa Nero on the Core i7 Socket 1366, the first of several Core i7 coolers we'll be examining to test cooling performance on the new CPUs.
