Radeon HD 5970 Single card and Crossfire - Hot Stuff ! Review

Posted on Wednesday, November 18 2009 @ 14:03:26 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

It's time to unleash the beast, welcome to a nice feature length review on the latest dual-GPU offering from ATI. What ATI did with the Radeon HD 5970 is to place two RV870 chips onto one PCB. Bridge them, Crossfire them and all of the sudden you'll have 4.3 Billion transistors at your disposal with a whopping 4.6 TFLOPs of raw performance. Guru3D will be testing the retail version from HIS Graphics cards, but since we received a reference also, we might as well insert some CrossfireX results as well. Next to all the regular stuff we'll be overvolting and overclocking the card as well. Yes the fastest graphics card in the world is unleashed, let's test it for cryin' out loud !
