Nearly two months ago Legit Reviews had an ASUS X99 Deluxe motherboard fail and it fried our Intel Core i7-5960X. We didn't promote the story, but we posted up a one page article about what happened and vowed to cover the story to the very end. After hundreds of e-mails and phone calls we have learned that issues have been discovered and that fixes have been made to prevent others from having failures such as this. Along the way we learned a good deal as we uncovered a power supply firmware update that was never made public, what voltages are safe for DDR4 memory and a number of other things.
