On this page I'm going to take a closer look at the inside of this case.
120mm rear fan
On the rear of the case you'll find a silent 120mm fan which is mounted in a
fan bracket. This makes it easy to remove the fan.
Tool-free PCI slots
The installation of your graphics card or other expansion cards doesn't
require any screws but it's still handy to have a screwdriver on hand to
remove those steel PCI slot covers. When installing a card you first open the
plastic clip, you push the card into your motherboard and then you close the
clip.
5.25-inch drive bays
The installation of your DVD player or other 5.25" devices also doesn't
require any screws. When I installed my DVD player into this bay I just had to
squeeze the translucent plastic clip, slide my DVD player into the drive bay
and secure the plastic clip again. In case the tool-free 5.25" kit doesn't
work for your devices you can still secure them with regular screws but in my
case it worked perfect, even for one of my fan controller units.
HDD cage
The hard drive cage fits up to five 3.5" HDDs and it's removable. It features
shockproof pads to absorb vibration and lower the noise produced by your hard
drives.
The installation of your hard drives into this cage is easy but you do have to
use special longer screws (which are included in the screw bag).
There should be enough room inside this case to install most hardware but if
you want to install big cards like the upcoming 12.4" Radeon X2800 XTX OEM
version from ATI you will need to remove the hard drive cage. Otherwise these
extremely big graphics cards won't fit. But in that case it's probably better
to buy a full-tower case instead of the Bach VX mid-tower.
140mm intake fan
Behind the drive cage there's a huge 140mm intake fan which draws in cool air
and cools your hard drives.
Cables
A picture of the front bezel's buttons, LEDs and speaker cables and also a
picture of the top panel's USB, audio and SATA cables:
Intrusion alert
Another special feature is this intrusion alert which detects whether your
case is open or closed. Most cases don't have this and to use it you're
motherboard needs to have support for it.
