    ATITool 0.0.15

Posted on Thursday, January 22 2004 @ 17:59:25 CET by LSDsmurf

As the name implies ATITool is an overclocking utility designed for ATI video cards.
Design target is to write a light-weight application for the enthusiast - so no questionable registry tweaks.

    Main Features

    • No limits overclocking.
    • Finding maximum core and memory overclock by rendering into a Direct3D window and scanning the output for visual artifacts.
    • Artifact scanning mode for non-ATI cards - use together with a 3rd party overclocking utility.
    • Loading a predefined clock profile on Application/Windows startup.
    • Hotkeys that can be used any time to load clocks from a profile.
    • 3D application detection (Direct3D 8, Direct3D 9, OpenGL) to overclock your video card only when required.

    21 January 2004 Version 0.0.15

    • when "scanning for artifacts" the rendering will continue even if the application is minimized/hidden
    • more bugfixes to application detection code
    • fixed buggy hotkeys
    • fixed ugly null pointer bug in profiles when using hotkeys. Thx AmpCoder
    • added some sanity check code to "find Max"
    • fixed some possible bugs with the service install
    • fixed crash when you closed the 3d window while running find Max
    • added message when the .sys driver couldn't be found - this happens when you start the .exe directly from the zip file.
    • background is no longer white on cards that dont support pixel shader 2.0.
    • closing the 3d window while scanning for artifacts properly sets button title
    • added proper message when the program can't install/run the device driver because the file was not found.
    • Fixed "scan" button being disabled when it's not supposed to be disabled.
