Google Blog is back

Yesterday night the official Google Blog mysteriously disappeared.

It was speculated the reason for the outage was a hacker but it appears to be that it was a mistake by Google. They accidentally deleted the blog which enabled someone else the claim it:

We've determined the cause of tonight's outage. The blog was mistakenly deleted by us (d'oh!) which allowed the blog address to be temporarily claimed by another user. This was not a hack, and nobody guessed our password. Our bad.
