ATI preparing RS600 chip

Posted on Thursday, April 13 2006 @ 00:20:06 CEST by

ATI will soon launch its new RS600 south bridge:
The firm needed to come up with a new south bridge sharpish. It had been using one supplied by ULI, but that firm has now been bought up by ATI arch-rival Nvidia. We hear that there should be working retail motherboard samples based on RD580 north bridge and RS600 south bridge around May, and you should see a bunch of these boards at Computex.
More info over at The Inquirer.
