Intel Conroe, Merom and Woodcrest launch dates

Intel presented some of its plans at the Intel Spring Analyst meeting. Here's a wrapup:

The mobile Merom processor will be launched in August and will have 2.5x more performance per Watt than the Pentium M 1.6GHz.

The Conroe desktop processor will be available in July and will have a performance per Watt rating three times higher than the Pentium D 960.

And the Woodcrest server processors will arrive in June with a performance per Watt rating three times higher than the Xeon 2.8GHz processors.
