Xbox 360 and PS3 graphically almost the same

Posted on Saturday, May 06 2006 @ 08:12:14 CEST by

A Swedish developer claims the PS3 and Xbox 360 console are pretty much the same:
Now, Swedish developer Starbreeze AB—best known for their critically acclaimed title Chronicles of Riddick—is saying that these times are over. In an interview with IGN, lead designer Magnus Högdahl was asked flat-out what the strengths and weaknesses of the PS3 and Xbox 360 were:

"The PS3 will have a content size advantage with Blu-ray and a CPU advantage for titles that are able to utilize a lot of the SPUs. The Xbox360 has a slight GPU advantage and its general purpose triple-core CPU is relatively easy to utilize compared to SPUs. I expect that it will be near impossible to tell Xbox360 and PS3 screenshots apart."
