Bloomberg writes Microsoft has added new features to its Windows Live Local map service:
To draw more users, Microsoft will add traffic-status maps for 35 U.S. cities through a partnership with Traffic.com.

Microsoft will also add more data in Europe. The company is adding bird's eye views of areas where 80 percent of Europe's population lives and expects to be done in two years. Microsoft is six months into a similar U.S. effort.

Windows Live Local will be integrated with the Outlook e- mail and calendar software so appointments can be mapped. Once the program determines how long it will take to get to a meeting, it can add the travel time to a calendar entry.
