Intel Conroe on track

The Inq reports the launch of Intel's Conroe is on track:
RUMOURS that there’s a problem with the introduction of Intel’s dual core 2 desktop chip, codenamed Conroe, are untrue, the company said. Like its server sibling Woodcrest, the 65 nano nextgen product remains on track. If there was a problem with Conroe there would be bother with Woodcrest and there isn’t.

Roadmaps we’ve seen show Intel remains on track to announce and ship product in July – but of course while August is the silly season for most of the world+dog, it’s not for the channel and OEMs, who furiously work like the clappers to get product ready for back to school and all that jazz.
