21st Century Sci-Fi vs. 21st Century Reality

The Daily Disturbance for PCApex has an interesting new short article up comparing the Sci-Fi prediction made decades ago for the 21st with the actual 21st century. Here is a snip from the article:

"The end of the world: I was doing some research before I started writing this piece and I have found that there were so many predictions that the world would end on the year 2000 that I stopped counting after 20. Predictions of the world ending during the 20th century totaled in hundreds. We're still here and the world has not ended."
