Due to continued strong demand for AGP graphics cards, NVIDIA
changed its roadmap. The company now plans to launch an AGP version of its GeForce 7600 GS and GT in the third quarter of this year.
Nvidia is looking to add the GeForce 7600GS/ GT AGP chips to its current AGP offering – the GeForce 7800GS AGP, indicated the sources.
The sources, which have reviewed Intel's latest product roadmap, hinted that shipments of Intel's entry-level 865-series chipsets will be extended through the first quarter of 2007, with the segment estimated to account for 10% of Intel's total chipset shipments.
