Sony PS3 hardware specifications to be downgraded?

According to Kotaku it's possible that the Sony PlayStation 3 specifications will be downgraded even more. Some of the things they heard from a phantom insider:
  • Lower clockspeed. Not 3.2GHz but 2.8GHz because the 3.2GHz Cell processor yields are too low.
  • An external 400W power supply instead of an internal.
