Microsoft says it won't drop Xbox 360 prices

Microsoft reinforces its no price drop strategy for the Xbox 360 console:
Porcaro, a group manager of public relations/communications for Microsoft's United States office stated that we won't be seeing any price drops this year for its console. "If you’ve been holding off picking one up because you think they’ll be cheaper in the future, or they’ve been hard to find, or because you’re too busy catching up on past episodes of Lost, wait no longer," said Porcaro. When you think of it, the XBOX 360 is priced comfortably under even the entry-level PS3 so any price drops at this point would possibly come off as desperation on Microsoft's part.
