The Inq writes the ATI RD580 chipset supports both the Socket 939 and Socket AM2.

According to their sources ATI won't release a new chipset for the Athlon 64 until the end of the year.
ATI is about to finish its RD600 and we are of course talking about a cardinal discrete chipset only.

The new integrated Athlon based chipset might see the light of the day by the end of the year but there won't be any triple PCIe 16X chipset from ATI for AMD CPUs yet.
