Web Research firm OnStat.com claims the global use of Firefox has increased 1.14% since May 2006. During the same time, usage of Internet Explorer dropped 2.12%.
Microsoft's Internet Explorer still holds the top spot with 83.05% of the market versus the 12.93% of Firefox. Regional market share show similar numbers except for Australia and Germany which have much higher Firefox usage.

OneStat says Australians use Firefox 24.23% of the time, which is almost double the global average. Germany, however, leads in Firefox usage with 39.02%. Apple Safari ranged from 1.3% in many countries to 3.28% in the United States.
