Dell AMD-based notebooks in Q4?

The Reg heard Dell is preparing a line of AMD-based notebooks. These will likely be launched in early to mid-Q4 2006.

The line-up will encompass 15.4in and 17in models based on Turion 64 X2, Mobile Sempron and Mobile Athlon 64 CPUs.

So say sources close to Taiwan's contract manufacturer community, cited by DigiTimes. Quanta, they claim, will make the 15.4in machines.
