DFI will release an AMD-ATI RS690 based motherboard in the fourth quarter of this year.
Under the name Infinity RS690-M2/G, DFI will introduce a brand new chipset to the market, offering a complete unit for cost-effective oriented PC builders. Basically, it's a product where you only need to put the processor, RAM and storage - and you have a working, low-cost computer.

The very first product for the AMD-ATI Party will be an as yet unannounced ATI AMD RS690 chipset. The chipset is divided into RS690 north bridge and SB600 south bridge chips. The features include a Radeon X700 graphics processor with integrated DVI, HDTV-out and HDMI connectors, four S-ATA-II ports, eight USB 2.0 and two Firewire connectors - eight channel HD Audio is integrated as well, courtesy of Realtek's ALC chip. You don't have to be a maths genius to figure out that HD audio in conjunction with HDMI/HDTV connectors is hoped to bring many AMD Live! design wins.
