An Italian website called Hardware Upgrade made a trip to ATI's headquarters and heard the RD600 will be the last ATI chipset for the Intel platform.
However, the report says that after the RD600 chipset hits the streets, ATI will begin reassigning its Intel chipset staff to work on AMD chipsets. Hardware Upgrade adds that ATI plans to reduce the size of its Intel chipset business by half in 2007. The red team reportedly expects to stop selling Intel chipsets altogether by 2008.
