Overclocking the Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 Processor

The Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6300 costs just $193 and is rumored to have decent overclocking potential. Today we put that rumor to the test and overclock this entry level Conroe processor and see how it does. After some minor tweaks our system overclocked the E6300 like no other reaching an 800+MHz overclock with little fuss. Read on to see how the E6300 does.

"While the system would benchmark at 45% and 46% overclocks it wasn't Prime 95 or double 32M Super Pi stable, so the highest stable overclock was 44%. Our processor that started out life as a 1.86GHz bottom end Conroe is now a 2.69GHz monster thanks to the huge overclock! This overclock is an 822MHz increase on the overall frequency and overclocks close to 1GHz don't too often!"
