AMD will extend its CSIP (Commercial Stable Image Platform) to servers and workstation on October 2nd 2006.
The new stable image will initially cover Opteron series 100 processors plus four motherboards from three separate suppliers: - Asus, ECS and MSI.

The objective here is to help AMD's channel partners to more effectively target small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs). Myers claimed such operations are still being sold DUDs (Dressed Up Desktops) by the opposition.
