If you're like me, then you probably manage a number of different
windows, documents, and programs all at one time. Operating systems are
built to handle multiple tasks at once, and that's a good thing, because
can you imagine what it would be like if we could only do one thing at a
time? There would be a revolt, and productivity would take a huge dive.
Yes, people who live by the multitasking way of life love to juice their
machines up with RAM and then send them to work on a wide variety of
things concurrently.
