Nokia to launch Wibree as Bluetooth rival

Nokia plans to introduce Wibree, a new radio technology that will allow consumers to connect mobile devices or PCs with button cell power devices like watches, keyboards, toys and sports sensors.

The company says this technology is better than Bluetooth and plans to release it in the second quarter of 2007.
