AGEIA to support use of multiple PhysX cards

Posted on Monday, October 16 2006 @ 14:30:34 CEST by

The Inquirer mentions AGEIA's new drivers support the use of multiple PhysX cards.
A thingy called Hardware Scene Manager (HSM) now uses compartments, allowing the use of multiple Physx cards in the future. It seems we are at the dawn of multiple Ageia cards to boost your physics performance.

The company has some really cool demos that it showed in New York. These includes 'deformable' objects. This new feature can calculate how much a first barrel deforms a second one on impact. Things start to look much better and more realistically than ever before, apparently.
