Posted on Thursday, October 26 2006 @ 00:01:54 CEST by

NVIDIA's GeForce 8800 (G80) will be available real soon and more and more info about this GPU has found its way to the web.

It looks like this 90nm chip will have 700 million transistors and will have two power plugs. Another new thing The Inq just learned it that is has a new type of SLI:
Another thing that we learned is that Nvidia uses a new SLI. We saw it here originally spotted at nvnews.net. The new SLI is dual rail stuff. It is ironic that ATI was the first to introduce such a connector that will let you have read and writes performed at the same time.
It's also said the GeForce 8800 GTX and GTS will be the two biggest graphics cards ever. The launch is expected on November 8th.
