OCZ Technology announced the addition of an 850W power supply to the GameXStream family. Building on the acclaimed performance and features of the OCZ NVIDIA SLI-Ready GameXStream series, the new 850W configuration offers a more powerful solution for today’s advanced PC systems in the same compact form factor that is a necessity to many gamers and system builders.

“A new generation of gaming systems is emerging with the lion share of the power being drawn by the graphics system,” commented Dr. Michael Schuette, VP of Technology Development at OCZ Technology. “Quad SLI and high-end CrossFire solutions are pushing up to 500W of power consumption which exceeds the capabilities of any conventional high-end power supply. Moreover, by the end of the year we will see PC games specifically developed for quad core CPUs. OCZ's answer is the new GameXStream top model with 850W output to make sure that even the most hungry systems get the power they need under the most demanding conditions.”

The 850W GameXStream is among the most powerful solutions available, yet remains the quietest PSU around ensuring gamers hear their games and not their PC. Kept ultra-cool with a large 120mm fan, the powerful GameXStream still remains virtually silent and supremely cool even at peak loads.
