Intel says goodby to the 865 chipset

Intel decided to quit production of the Intel 8xx chipset family:
Detailed schedule will be announced in Dec and the last order will not later than July 2007. The involved member included 848P, 865G, 865GV, 865P, 865PE, and 875 chipset. Resulting from the termination, AGP Era ends eventually.

Since Intel 865 chipset was launched on 20 June 2003, it has been 4 years in supplying when terminated. Compared with 915 chipset, which was launched on 21 June 2004 and announced the plan of termination in Oct, 865 chipset lives much longer indeed.
