Dell orders 27-inch widescreen Samsung displays

Dell singed a long-term contract to get 27-inch widescreen LCD displays from Samsung. The first of these will be launched in January 2007.

Samsung currently only supplies one kind of 27-inch LCD monitor panels, LTM270M1. The panel features resolution of 1,920×1,200 (WUXGA), response time of 6ms, contrast ratio of 3,000:1 and brightness of 500 nits, according to Samsung's website.
