AMD Socket 939 processors to be outphased this year

The Inq writes AMD will stop taking orders for Socket 939 processors by the end of this quarter.
Only you are a very important customer might you have a chance to buy one until June the 30th 2007.

AMD wants to finish up with the DDR-only 939 CPUs. They will probably be sloshing around in the channel for a bit longer but the plan is to kill them for New Year's Eve. Socket 754 will get to live one more quarter and after that it will start to fade our as well. It's already had its death sentence.
