NVIDIA MCP 73 in Q1 2007

Posted on Saturday, December 09 2006 @ 02:13:29 CET by

In the first quarter of next year NVIDIA will introduce its MCP 73 IGP chipset for Intel processors.
Although Nvidia will be able to grab an opportunity to increase its revenues by becoming a player in the entry-level chipset segment, a report from Pacific Growth Equities indicated margins will be an issue.

Nvidia currently has gross margins approaching 50%, while the gross margins for ATI's chipset production for Intel-based platform are only about 15%, the report stated.
