AMD RS690 chipset to be made at 80nm by UMC

The upcoming AMD RS690 chipset will be made by UMC at the 80nm node:
Before its acquisition by AMD, ATI worked with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) as its chief partner for 80nm production, the paper said, adding that the selection of UMC for the next-generation RS690 chipsets raises speculations about possible changes in AMD's outsourcing policy.
