ATI Radeon X1950GT canned

We reported yesterday that ATI released design kits of the Radeon X1950 GPU to graphics cards makers. This will probably lead to price drops, VR-Zone reports.

They also write the Raedon X1950GT has been cancelled. This RV570LE based chip was supposed to be launched at $169 but is no longer viable in the current price structure.

ATI's new flagship, the R600, should arrive in February while new NVIDIA GPUs may arrive in March.
