AMD has lent $650 million to build a new 12-inch fab in New York State at the Luther Forest Technology Campus.
The firm said last June that the fab will provide plenty of jobs in the Luther Forest site in Saratoga County. But, according to the Post*Star, the final details were inked last week. AMD, said the newspaper, will have a two year window to start building the fab between July 2007 to July 2009.
