First there's a news report that VIA's profit dropped 51.64% in December, and now this is followed by news that SiS's revenue dropped 33.45% in December and 72.85% on year:
According to SiS, memory modules generated 64.4% of its revenues in December, while chipsets contributed 35.44%. The company's cumulative revenues for the year of 2006 were NT$7.908 billion, up 31.44% from 2005.

The large decrease in last month's revenues was primarily caused by that clients had relatively high inventory levels, SiS pointed out. However, the company has an optimistic outlook for its business in 2007.
