Logitech designed a new keyboard for Windows Vista, the Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 3200 Laser. This set features a wireless keyboard and the Logitech MX 600 wireless laser-based mouse.

Lets take a quick look at the features of the new combo set:

I'll start with one of the most eye-catching features of the keyboard and the mouse: they feature AgION antimicrobial compound. This silver-based compound prevents the growth of a broad range of bacteria, mold and mildew on your keyboard or mouse. You may think this is nonsense but maybe this post on Slashdot will change your mind. An average keyboard contains 33,000 bacteria and up to 3,100 fungi per square centimeter - a normal toilet seat contains only 130 bacteria per square centimeter.

The set features a USB mini receiver which you need to plug into one of your USB ports and Logitech says the battery life will be up to 15 months for the keyboard and up to 6 months for the mouse. LED battery indicators on the keyboard and mouse warn you when you need to change the batteries.

A second cool feature of the Logitech Cordless MX 3200 set is the LCD display of the keyboard. This display can display things like the time, data, battery status and other information.

Other features of the keyboard include dynamic search and zoom, Logitech says you can use the touch-sensitive slider to explore Windows folders and images quickly and precisely. There are also programmable hot-keys and one-touch Internet calling controls to access your favorite Internet calling software and start of end a call with a single touch.

The Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 3200 Laser is available for $99.99.
