The Inq heard AMD's senior marketing manager Ian McNaughton say at CES 2007 that AMD will introduce a eight core processing system in the second half of this year.

Likely he isn't talking about a eight-core processor, here's what the Inq thinks:
He didn’t go into details but we think he is talking about two CPUs Quad FX platformance with a quad core CPU each. This gets you to a total of eight cores and this is where AMD wants to go, for its own reasons.

Naturally, he also talked about the "Torrenza" concept with two CPUs, two graphics and a physics card that is set to come in 2007.
McNaughton also announced a CPU on GPU concept will be available in late 2008.
