Just wanted to let you know the low cost alternative to the CL 2.5 PC-4000 gold is ready to begin shipping to retailers on 7/21/2003
" OCZ PC4000 EL DDR memory will be available in 256MB and 512MB modules, as well as 512MB and 1GB matched kits. Each OCZ PC4000 EL DDR module features a copper heatspreader and is rated for CL 3-4-4-8 operation at 2.7 volts.
Each OCZ PC4000 EL DDR Dual Channel kit is tested on the Abit IC7-G in order to ensure maximum stability and performance in dual channel configurations. OCZ PC4000 EL DDR is backed by OCZ industry-renowned lifetime warranty."
Exact retail prices are unknown, I asked for them and I got this reply :
| These are meant to compete clock for clock against the corsair and kingston
PC-4000 , so we will offer a fairly low ( about 10% less ) than corsair
price for there comparable product |
