Apple decided to go on and name its phone iPhone, but this may give them some problems as Cisco has a registered trademark on its Linksys iPhone VoIP device.

According to reports in the press, Cisco has been in negotiations with Apple for a few years. The negotiations got more intensive in the last few weeks and Cisco believes Apple will soon agree to their terms:
"It is our belief that with their announcement today, Apple intends to agree to the final document and public statement that were distributed to them last night and that addressed a few remaining items. We expect to receive a signed agreement today," Noh told IDG News Service.
