This year we can expect 12 new handsets from HTC. The company
wants to expand its business and will stick to its current policy by cooperating with telecom service providers, ODMs and the channel to sustain its growth.
HTC will also continue to expand the list of its global clients by strengthening its presence in emerging markets, including Latin America, the Middle East and India, Chou added.
Sources at a number of foreign investment firms have estimated that HTC's first-quarter revenues are likely to drop 15-20% sequentially from the previous quarter, to NT$24-25 billion (US$732-762 million).
