PNY announced the launch of its new high speed range, dedicated to the high end consumer: the Optima flash card range. Offering a minimum write speed of 9MB/sec, minimum read speed above 10MB/sec and up to 4GB storage capacity, the PNY OPTIMA flash card range allows consumers to enjoy high end performance from their digital devices that they require.

The PNY Optima Secure Digital is available in 1GB and 2GB capacities; the PNY SDHC 4GB Optima version (class 6) will be available by the end of Q1 2007. The PNY Optima CompactFlash is available in 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB capacities. "The compact flash format is now mainly used in SLR cameras, with SD cards being the prevalent memory solution for compact and bridge digital still cameras" says Laure Lapègue, PNY Category Manager for Flash Cards. "CompactFlash therefore sees a new injection of life with the introduction of an alternative high speed version for high end performance".

The PNY Optima SecureDigital and Optima CompactFlash bear customized Optima retail packaging, and offer a 5 year manufacturer warranty. The Optima Range is available via PNY e-tail and retail channels.
