Intel Clovertown FSB 1600MHz?

Posted on Thursday, February 08 2007 @ 00:10:40 CET by

VR Zone heard a rumour that Intel will boost the front side bus of its Clovertown processor from 1333MHz to 1600MHz to match up with AMD's Barcelona quad-core processors.
Another strategy Intel is considering is to push forward 45nm Hapertown schedule to this year instead. Hapertown will have 2x6MB of L2 cache and 1333FSB.

Intel is keeping a close watch on AMD Barcelona to plan their next step.
