A bunch of news appeared on the web this week about Windows Vienna, the successor to Windows Vista. This new version of Windows is expected within two years.

In response to the recent speculation, Microsoft released the following statement:
“The launch of Windows Vista was an incredibly exciting moment for our customers and partners around the world, and the company is focused on the value Windows Vista will bring to people today. We are not giving official guidance to the public yet about the next version of Windows, other than that we’re working on it. When we are ready, we will provide updates.”
Basically they're saying: Lets all buy Vista folks! And don't forget to start saving for the next version of Windows, we (read: Microsoft) are working on it but we don't want to release any information about it yet.
