Once again Chile Hardware has got their hands on some exclusive info, they have a part of AMDs PDF regarding launch date, driver release & shipping dates of the upcoming R600 GPU.
There is also explanation about the power connectors, 2 sizes of the PCB & cooling features.

The 9" retail version has been finished on February 5th, with the first engineering samples expected on March 5. The WHQL driver release is slated for March 14th and AMD will start shipping the cards to add-in-board partners in the wweek of March 24.

The mechanical specifications of the full-length 12"+ version of the R600 for OEMs has been finished on February 12th. The engineering sample boards will be ready on a case by case base and the first production delivery to AIBs will be subject to partner forecast.

According to this document the retail R600 XTX is 9.5" long with a dual-height vapor chamber technology based cooler. For OEMs there's a 12" R600 XTX which provides maximum quiet cooling and "superior mechanical retention".
